  • Lynda Dingley's art is a powerful expression of her unique journey through life.

Born in Geelong, her love of travel has taken her across Australia, enriching her perspective and deepening her connection to the land. Her First Nations heritage and diverse experiences have profoundly shaped her art, infusing it with a distinctive depth and emotional resonance.

Despite using a wheelchair for over 17 years, Lynda has embraced this experience as an opportunity to renew her passion for art and pursue a full-time career as an artist.

Her paintings reveal the emotional and physical states she was in at the time of creation, capturing both pain and joy through her expressive brushstrokes. Each piece serves as a testament to her resilience, offering viewers an intimate glimpse into her world.

Lynda’s most recent solo exhibition was a resounding success, drawing praise from audiences and the media alike. It was highlighted as an outstanding example of how disability does not define or limit artistic excellence.

Through her work, Lynda invited viewers to see the world through her eyes and experience the rich tapestry of emotions that shape her journey.

Her accomplishment as an artist is reflected in the numerous awards and competitions she has won over the years. With her unique perspective and bold style, she has become a sought-after artist, completing many commissions

    throughout her career.

Beyond her artistic achievements, Lynda has been a passionate advocate for disability rights and representation in the arts. Between 2017 and 2019, she delivered lectures at Deakin University’s Waterfront campus, sharing her experiences as a disabled artist and encouraging others to embrace their unique creative voices.

Through her art and advocacy, Lynda has become an inspiration—not only to fellow artists but to anyone striving to overcome barriers and pursue their passion.
